Darul Musannefin Shibli Academy

The library of Darul Musannefin has a modest collection of Manuscripts. Some of these are very valuable. Due to the lack of necessary resources it has been rather difficult over the years to do whatever was needed for the proper upkeep and preservation of this valuable collection. With the help of National Archives of India an effort is being made to do the needful in this regard. Efforts are also being made to secure help from National Manuscript Commission for this purpose. We have been in touch of various agencies including Juma al Majid of Dubai to get the manuscripts digitized. It is a matter of great pleasure that our efforts in this regard have borne fruit. With the help of the office of Cultural Attache in the Embassy of Saudi Arabia, Dr Ebrahim al Batshan, the digitization of the manuscript has begun and it is expected to continue for a month or so. It will be an important step in the direction of the preservation of the manuscript of the Academy.
