Biography of the prophet of Islam Series

Seerat-un-Nabi in Seven volumes is Magnum opus of the Academy. Allama Shibli collected stupendous amount of research material on the subject but could write only first two volumes when death cut short a brilliant carrier. His able disciple Syed Sulaiman Nadvi completed the remaining five volumes. The work has been acknowledged as the most authentic and comprehensive account of the life and teachings of the Prophet of Islam.

 

 

 

Vol - I Allama Shibli Nomani

It contains a long scholarly introduction on the art of biography, describes the history of Arabia before the annunication of Prophethood.

Vol - II Allama Shibli Nomani

It contains description of events from ninth to eleventh Hijra, the Prophet's efforts in establishing and maintaining peace in the land, last pilgrimage, death; the Prophet's nature, manners, virtues, his wives and progeny.

Vol - III Syed Sulaiman Nadvi

Describes the nature of miracles, The possibility of their happening in the light of ancient and modern philosophies, revelations. ascension, angels.

Vol - IV Syed Sulaiman Nadvi

Discusses the nature of prophethood, religious and moral conditions of Arabia before Islam, the Prophet's grand effort in the field of social reform.

Vol - V Syed Sulaiman Nadvi

Discusses nature and meaning of prayers, Namaz, Zakat, fast, Pilgrimage, Significance of holy war, piety, contentment etc.
